Let tea connect you to those you love.

At Milk and Sugar Events we are all about tea. We make it, we drink it, we love it. It's in our blood.
As soon as I could hold a cup my grandmother used to make me tea in a small plastic cup with a kangaroo on it. We would sit around her kitchen table (straight out of the 1950's) have a cuppa and eat Gingernuts or one of her delicious home baked orange cakes. It was a ritual all the grandchildren in our family, my cousins, went through and as a result we are all now tea drinkers. The ritual of sharing tea with one another  bound us together in some way and now even as adults we are just as close to each other as we were as children even though distance keeps us apart. Sitting with grandma and grandpa drinking tea and talking formed part of the firm foundations that our extended family was built around and grew from. A quieter time, a slower more peaceful time. No ipads, smartphones or wifi. A time of fruit trees and rose bushes in the garden and homemade tomato sauce and apricot jam in the cupboard. A time when we were truly connected to each other because your family was the most important thing to be connected to!
Make tea, sit together as a family and drink it. Speak with each other, listen, learn and enjoy. And when the tea pot runs dry pop up and boil the kettle again.
