Smashgate took place late last year on a day in which we thought we were accumulating good karma, not the opposite. It seemed the Universe had turned against us as the chilling sound of vintage English fine bone china hitting concrete reverberated through us again and again and again and again? Can you be serious... "They're only plates and cups and saucers" we kept saying to each other, plastering on fake smiles through gritted teeth, holding back tears.
But they are more than plates to us, they are our Lovely Ladies, we really do love them.
As the New Year chimed in we vowed to put Smashgate behind us, it was easy to do whilst we buried our heads in the sand, then yesterday it hit home. "Where's this cup? Where's that plate?". Gone, gone, gone, gone, gone! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (Fall to floor, dramatically holding head in hands!)
So the rebuild begins, the hunt for treasure continues. We have mourned our losses and vowed as God is our witness (Gone With The Wind style) that we shall never smash again....until next time that is.
Don't forget to keep the kettle boiling and the teacups clean!

So sad I am still in shock
